Shortly after a married couple (an unemployed doctor, Arthur and his wife Yoko), move into a new house they start to notice bizarre and disturbing things happening. Yoko begins to see ghosts and later finds a strange disquieting doll and, believing that the house is haunted, enlists the help of a police detective who reveals that the house has a dark, secret past.
